Slow Tripping in Capsule(1) || MOMO Festival
We tend to orient ourselves by what has been and what is yet to come. Capsule(1) investigates the suspended space between those two temporal poles, the vacuum in which the present moment stretches, contracts, and becomes perceptible. Can we attune to the sensation of “now,” and can that sensation be expanded?
In an era defined by acceleration, hyper-productivity, and continuous connectivity, Capsule(1) offers a counter-narrative. It invites audiences to pause and to experience a state of temporal suspension, one that resists the societal pressure to constantly move forward. The installation evokes the interior of a drifting space pod, a liminal chamber where conventional markers of time and space dissolve. The soundscape functions as a moving vehicle, carrying you through an ever-shifting sonic landscape that subtly alters your sense of orientation and perception.
By stepping into this floating architecture, visitors are encouraged to question the conditions shaping their daily rhythms. What happens when we forget the clock? What becomes possible when we reclaim time as something fluid, spacious, and felt rather than measured?
Why Now
The contemporary moment is marked by an unprecedented fragmentation of attention. As global crises, digital overload, and social expectation compress the way we inhabit time, the ability to simply be, to feel, to sense, to notice, has become increasingly scarce. The demand for constant output erodes our capacity for reflection and recovery.
Capsule(1) responds directly to this cultural landscape. It proposes slowness as both an artistic methodology and a societal intervention. By creating a temporary microclimate of sensory awareness and expanded presence, the work invites a collective reconsideration of how we relate to pace, productivity, and mental space. In a world urgently searching for alternative ways of living and feeling, Capsule(1) offers not escape, but recalibration.
Slow Tripping
A gentle invitation to tune in rather than tune out. Capsule(1) offers a subtle, slow pulse, an embodied rhythm that heightens sensory awareness, revitalizes the body, and awakens the mind across shifting dimensions of space and time. In doing so, it reflects a growing societal need for spaces of deceleration, introspection, and recharging, spaces where we can reimagine our relationship to pace, presence, and possibility.
